Sandringham is the much-loved country retreat of the Royal Family and has been the private home to generations of British Monarchs since 1862.
The Royal Park is open daily throughout the year to walk or cycle and is dog friendly. There are two marked Nature Trails, one a leisurely 1½ miles long and the other 2½ miles long with many additional woodland paths to explore for a casual stroll. Sandringham Courtyard has a range of facilities to eat and drink alongside the Sandringham Shop offering an extensive collection of artisan Norfolk products.
Sandringham House is open on a seasonal basis and is due to reopen to the public in April 2023. The main eight ground floor rooms of the house, regularly used by the Royal Family, are open to the public and the decor and contents remain very much as they were in Edwardian times. It is a fascinating insight to the Royal Family, past and present.
